After 97 entertaining minutes, two disallowed goals, France beat Germany 1-0, courtesy of an own goal from Mats Hummels. Both Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe found the back of the net, but the latter was off-side during the build-up on both occasions. With this win, France join Portugal at the top of the group but the former leads due to a superior goal difference.

Arguably, the toughest group in Euro 2020 was on display on Tuesday as Portugal picked up a 3-0 win over Hungary in their opening match of the tournament. The defending champions had to work hard against the Hungarian defence but after Rapha├лl Guerreiro hammered in the first goal in the 84th minute, things changed. Cristiano Ronaldo slotted in a penalty three minutes later, and five minutes after that, he struck another goal to help Portugal to a 3-0 win.
There were only Group F matches on Tuesday, so the rest of the points table of other groups remain unchanged.
