1. Cleanse like a pro – Embrace the double cleanse: as our skin is extremely soft, cleaning it twice a day makes it more important. The best kind of formulas are balms that you can warm up on your skin, before removing makeup, dirt and pollutants using warm water and a flannel or soft muslin cloth. Cleansing oils will also emulsify smoothly, getting deep into the skin to leave it clean and fresh. (Unsplash)

2. Masking – Be it before a vacation or after, masking is always a factor that helps the skin retain its required oils and helps in keeping it fresh and smooth. Indulging yourself in a good mask after a vacation becomes all the more necessary as it will help in keeping away the dead skin cells and leaves your skin with enough moisture. (File Photo)

3. Drink lemon water – It may not sound like a skincare routine but drinking lemon water after you return from vacation will help your skin reboot. The citrus-infused water is both super hydrating and refreshing. Every morning after you wake up, indulging in lemon water will not only help you in clear skin but will also help in weight loss. We love going on vacations and we love pampering ourselves but after the vacation is over, it’s time to face the reality of everyday life before going to the skincare routine there are two things to be kept in mind, according to Dr Sonia Sabhandasani, MBBS, MD (Skin) Dermatologist and Cosmetologist at Chicnutrix. She said, “First, fix it from inside out, second, it is a slow process. So, restore, rejuvenate and start the process of skin care from scratch.” She suggested a skincare routine that needs to be followed after you return from your vacation: (Andrea Piacquadio )

1. Drink lots of water – The easiest way is to stick to 8×8 rule, drink about 8 glasses of water throughout the day or you could even switch things up a bit by starting your day with lemon water since it is anti-bacterial, antiviral, a good antioxidant and it will also boost your immune system. 2. Add an oral antioxidant supplement into your daily routine – We acquire oral antioxidants through foods like carrots and broccoli, but this may not be enough. Hence it is important that you include an oral supplement that will help undo the damage caused by sunlight, stress, pollution, dirt and more. (Pixabay)

3. Avoid sun – Now that you’re back from your vacation you might want to avoid the sun for a while. Since your hair and skin are vulnerable at this stage you shouldn’t risk the chances of more damage. (Saliha)
