Wil Anderson has sold his former home at 143 Cruikshank Street, Port Melbourne.
Award-winning comedian Wil Anderson has sold his former Port Melbourne home complete with a studio above the garage where he recorded podcasts.
Anderson has been involved with a long list of TV panel-show hits from The Glass House to a current role hosting and producing ABC’s Gruen, which is expected to return to TV later this year.
In his time at the property the comic co-hosted Triple M’s breakfast radio show and used the studio to record podcasts with a litany of famous faces, including comedians Hamish Blake, Ross Noble and Em Rusciano, musician Clare Bowditch and radio host Christian O’Connell.

Records show Anderson paid $2.926 million for the 143 Cruikshank St home in 2017, and he previously told the Herald Sun he had enjoyed many peaceful nights taking in Melbourne’s CBD lights from the home’s rooftop deck.
He decided to sell, initially through comedians turned real estate agents Jodie J Hill and Fahey Younger, after relocating to Byron Bay with long-time partner Amy Williamson.
Greg Hocking took over the listing earlier this year, with the home’s asking price reined in from last year’s $2.9-$3.1 million range to $2.95 million.
The stylish home attracted a number of high-profile guests since Anderson bought it in 2017.
Anderson will miss taking in Melbourne’s skyline from the rooftop deck.
The home has an easy-care backyard.
It is understood to have sold very close to the revised figure, though is still under contract as a subject-to-finance clause is resolved.
Greg Hocking director Greg Hocking and listing agent Tony Gaudy said they couldn’t comment on the vendor or sale price, but confirmed the property was under contract.
Mr Gaudry said the buyers, a young family looking for more space, had recently sold in Albert Park.
Mr Hocking said a number of interested parties had switched from looking at townhouses in nearby Albert Park to pursue the property.
Eye-catching interior design gives the home plenty of visual appeal.
The home’s modern kitchen links the indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces.

“This one looked like good value in their eyes,” he said.
“And the vendor is very satisfied with the result. He held out for a strong price for quite a few weeks and that’s what he got.”
He added that while February’s snap lockdown had “hardly left a dent”, the week’s extension to the current restrictions was “causing mayhem” for the area’s otherwise strong property market — particularly among sellers forced to scrap auctions after weeks of advertising.
