The Hills Shire weather: Forecast for May 17

As we shift to autumn, what can locals expect today? We have the latest word from the Weather Bureau.

Today’s forecast is partly cloudy.

At 5pm today, expect a dry day with a dew point of 7.7. The temperature will feel more like a cool 13 with a relative humidity of 66 per cent.

The highest expected temperature today is 19, which is 1 degree higher than yesterday’s max.

Warmer conditions are expected on five of the next six days, with the mercury climbing above today’s maximum on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The chance of rain today is 5 per cent.

There is a similar chance of showers tomorrow with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting a slim (5 per cent) chance of rain.

The UV index is predicted to be 3. There is a moderate risk of harm from sun exposure. Experts suggest covering up, using sunscreen outside and avoiding the sun around noon.

Winds will be west around 12 km/h in the morning shifting to south around 10 km/h in the afternoon.
