The last Powerball draw before Christmas has offered up a whopping $20 million. Check the lucky numbers here to see if you are a winner.

Powerball’s jackpot is set to climb from $20 million after no one took out the first division prize.

The numbers you needed this week were 3, 33, 29, 13, 10, 20, 16 and the powerball was 19.

Last year, there were 14 Powerball division one wins that pocketed more than $470.1 million in prize money.

By comparison, there has been the same number of division one wins in 2021, but about $80 million more won in prize money — a total of $550 million.

The last time somebody won a prize worth the same amount on offer as tonight was back in September.

A Queensland dad from Ipswich was stoked to win the mega prize.

“After all these years, we have finally won. It is absolutely incredible,” the winning Queensland exclaimed at the time on September 16.

“We’ve gone from being real battlers to having money. I can’t wrap my head around it.

“We never expected to win this much. It will change our lives in such a massive way.

“I am honestly really lost for words. I can hardly string a sentence together!”

The dad immediately knew how he was going to splash his cash.

“We will finally be able to put into action the plan my wife and I have always had should we one day win the lottery,” he explained.

“We will pay off the mortgage to begin with and be debt-free. I will work part-time instead of full time.

“I have always wanted to make some smart investments and of course, help our children.

“I will be able to pay off their mortgages in full. And when we can, we will travel around the country.

“It will make a big change.”

A Sydney man who won $30 million in Powerball last year exclusively spoke to news.com.au and told of an unexpected downside.

The ex-tradie aged in his 30s told news.com.au: “What my motto has become, I guess winning the lotto doesn’t make you any happier, it just makes life easier.

“If you’re not happy, and you want to win the lottery (to change that) you’re going to be terribly mistaken.”

The man no longer works as a tradie and enjoys not having to get up at 4am some mornings.

Instead, he works part-time in the entertainment industry, a maximum of 25 hours a week to “pass the time”.

He bought a house for himself as well as a holiday home and also a boat.

Instead of buying a brand-new car, he got a second hand car.

“I still like to go out and have a drink with friends, no point blowing big money on an expensive car,” the down-to-earth guy said.
