Liz Cheney got ousted from her senior position in the House of Representatives by the Republican Party because “she won’t be quiet” about her beliefs former President Donald Trump, according to Sky News contributor Michael Ware.

“Why are we interested in the fate of Liz Cheney and her downfall, well it’s because it gives us a window into the nature of the Republican Party now going forward,” he told Sky News.

“Let’s be very, very clear Liz Cheney was not voted out of her leadership position in the House of Representatives among the Republican Party because she believes the election last year was legitimate.”

Mr Ware said Ms Cheney was removed because she is adamant “she’s simply speaking the truth” and has vowed to “ensure that Donald Trump never gets again near the Oval Office”.

“She was ousted because she won’t be quiet about those beliefs or what she says are truths and come Friday most likely she’ll be replaced by another Republican woman who has only been recently converted into a Trump diehard.”
