A monster deal was supposed to keep Daly Cherry-Evans at Manly for life, but the rumour mill about a move away keeps spinning.

If Daly Cherry-Evans has his way, heтАЩll be at Manly for life.

That was the plan when he signed a monster $10 million, eight-year contract in 2015, but rumours have started swirling the halfback may not end his career as a one-club player.

During the week Cherry-Evans was linked to the Broncos, while Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler said theyтАЩd heard whispers of a possible move to South Sydney, who are in serious danger of losing Adam Reynolds because they wonтАЩt offer the No. 7 more than a one-year deal.

However, the Sea Eagles captain doesnтАЩt want to go anywhere, telling The Sunday Mail in an exclusive interview he wants to finish his playing days on SydneyтАЩs northern beaches, even though heтАЩs тАЬnot naiveтАЭ enough to understand the best laid plans can go awry in rugby league.

тАЬIтАЩm sure the right people at Manly will get in contact with me and reassure me that (being pushed out) is not the case,тАЭ Cherry-Evans said.

тАЬI havenтАЩt spoken to anyone at the club. IтАЩm paid to play footy and produce results and the first four weeks that didnтАЩt happen.

тАЬBut I feel IтАЩve turned my individual form around so IтАЩm more worried about getting Manly on track than calling club officials.тАЭ

Cherry-Evans added heтАЩs тАЬnot the answer for the BroncosтАЭ, who are in desperate need of a halfback after young gun Tom Dearden signed with the Cowboys for next year.

However, Cherry-Evans admitted the constant speculation around his future does make him тАЬnervousтАЭ.

тАЬI really hope that I am not going to get the tap. IтАЩve been around for a while now and for it to keep getting raised, it makes you nervous,тАЭ he told the Sydney Morning Herald.

тАЬI have a good management team and this is something for them to deal with. If Manly are looking to do something with me they certainly have not told me or my manager.тАЭ

Cherry-Evans was under immense pressure as Manly started the season with four straight losses, but the Sea Eagles bounced back to win their next three games as they welcomed back superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic.

However, they lost 28-16 to Penrith on Saturday.
