Natalie Dormer┬аis a mom! The┬атАЬGame of ThronesтАЭ star secretly welcomed her first child with partner David Oakes in January.
Dormer shared the news on friend Esther RantzenтАЩs тАЬThatтАЩs After LifeтАЭ┬аpodcast.
тАЬItтАЩs the perfect thing to do during a pandemic тАФ get pregnant, have a baby,тАЭ the actress joked. тАЬI feel like IтАЩm probably being a bit of a clich├й, sheтАЩll probably be sitting in a bar in 30 yearsтАЩ time one day going, тАШYeah, IтАЩm a COVID baby.’тАЭ
For now, Dormer said her baby girl is an тАЬabsolute joy.тАЭ
тАЬSheтАЩs just three months and sheтАЩs an absolute joy, IтАЩm never going to complain about shooting hours ever again because sleep deprivation is something else,тАЭ she shared. тАЬPeople say, тАШYour whole perspective on life will change, and your whole set of value systemтАЩ and you sort of roll your eyes and go тАШYeah, yeahтАЩ тАФ and then you have one and you go, тАШOh. Wow!’тАЭ
тАЬIтАЩm in love. IтАЩm absolutely in love, sheтАЩs a joy. Sleep has always been quite important to me тАФ thatтАЩs the only downside, but you know nature is so clever, the hormones kick in,тАЭ she continued.
Dormer, known for playing Anne Boleyn on тАЬThe TudorsтАЭ and Margaery Tyrell on тАЬGame of ThronesтАЭ, said that she thought working in film or TV might be challenging with a baby, so sheтАЩs hoping she may be able to instead find work in theatre.
тАЬPeople in the industry that IтАЩm in do lean on nannies and they do that for a reason so that they can take children with them,тАЭ she said. тАЬBut, I mean for me, this is the perfect time to go back to the stage, because then I could be with her all day.тАЭ
тАЬBut with COVID, who knows when that will happen. I really feel for our theatres around the country, thereтАЩs hard times,тАЭ she noted.
