A father who planned on marrying his 13-year-old daughter allegedly beat her to death before and set her on fire after she refused.

Ahmet Mohammad Dwala killed his daughter Amara Dwala, 13, in the family bathroom last Thursday, reports claim.

Local media report Mohammad allegedly turned on some loud music to drown out the screams from the youngster before fleeing the crime scene with his other 12-year-old daughter.

Medical teams arrived and transferred Amara to the hospital – and whilst in the ambulance the horrifically injured teen told the ambulance crew that her dad had set her on fire.

Amar died just after she arrived at the hospital and the emergency services immediately contacted the police who began to search for the teen’s dad.

Mohammad Dwala was arrested shortly after by the local authorities whilst Lamur was taken into state protection.

Mohammad reportedly denied all accusations during his interrogation.

The police found that the suspect was already wanted for fatally stabbing a young man who molested his daughter and for allegedly burning one of his ex-wives with boiling water.

The local news site Onedio reports that Amara’s mother, who was not named, lives in Lebanon with her new husband and was informed by authorities of her daughter’s death.

Amara’s mother and other family members didn’t claim her body and as a result, the state took charge of her funeral.

The 13-year-old girl was buried in the absence of her family in a section of the Yeni Asri Cemetery reserved for the homeless.

The investigation is ongoing.
