Delhi, March 15: The central government can make some important announcements regarding the salary of the employees. The central government can give double happiness to the central employees after the festival of Holi. Holi will ne celebrated on March 8 across India. According to reports in ABP News, dearness allowance for lakhs of employees and dearness relief for pensioners can be increased along with the fitment factor on 7th pay commission recommendations.
Currently, dearness allowance is being given to central employees at the rate of 38 per cent and it can be increased to 42 per cent. In such a situation, there can be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance and dearness relief. According to the media reports, the centre is mulling revising the Dearness Allowance and fitment factor post-March 8. At present, the common fitment factor is 2.57%, indicating that an employee who receives Rs 15,500 in 4200 Grade Pay, would get a total pay of Rs 39, 835. The government is also anticipated to increase the DA this March, from the present 38% to 42%. The hike in DA and salary would be effective from January 2023.
