A speeding car collided with a stationary truck leading to the death of three persons near Urse toll post on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway Friday morning, police said, adding that they are in the process of verifying the identity of the deceased.
After receiving information about the accident, Pimpri-Chinchwad police rushed a team to the spot for investigation. Police Inspector Vanita Dhumal of Shirgaon station said, “Around 8 am, a speeding car rammed a truck parked on the roadside on the Mumbai-Pune lane near Urse toll post. Three persons in the car have died in the accident.”
The police added that the bodies of the victims were soon removed from the car that got crushed under the truck’s rear side.
