The 2023 Junos in Edmonton, Alberta were a big evening for Nickelback, who were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
To recognize Nickelback for their contributions to Canadian music, actor Ryan Reynolds appeared virtually at the ceremony.
NHL All-Star and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid will be present to personally thank the band. There will be a medley of Nickelback’s songs performed.

Reynolds at first flubs his speech, accidentally presenting the honours to Alberta’s own Joni Mitchell, before being corrected by someone off camera.
“Wasn’t Joni Mitchell in Nickelback?” Reynolds asks, before clarifying: “They’re from Alberta too, right? That’s a very talented province.”
