Yogurt from Costco is being recalled for the second time in a month, after manufacturer Danone Canada said the product may contain a type of yeast that could lead to illness in immunocompromised people.

The recall affects Costco’s Kirkland Signature Probiotic Yogurt that comes in a 24-pack of 100-gram servings, which was bought at its warehouses in Canada between Sept. 3 and Sept. 19, Danone Canada said in a notice posted on the retailer’s website on Sept. 23.

The affected products have best-before dates of Oct. 18, Oct. 20 and Oct. 22.

Danone added that the food safety risk was low, as the yeast is not known to grow in refrigerated temperatures.

The yogurt manufacturer asked people not to consume the product and to return it to a Costco warehouse to obtain a full refund.

This is the second time in a month that a brand of yogurt sold at Costco is being recalled.

Earlier in September, 24-packs of Greek yogurt under Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand were recalled due to mould.

The recalled products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
