U.S. Supreme Court weighs Trump’s tariffs in test of presidential power

Who’s fighting Trump’s tariffs?

The Supreme Court will be hearing from two sets of plaintiffs: private businesses who say they’ve been damaged by the tariffs, and 12 U.S. states that joined together to argue the tariffs are unlawful.

Leading the private businesses are Learning Resources Inc, an Illinois-based company that sells educational toys and V.O.S. Selections, a New York-based wine importer.

The 12 U.S. states part of the lawsuit is led by Oregon, and also includes Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York and Vermont.
