Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will operate a mega block on its suburban network on Sunday, September 21, 2025, to carry out essential engineering and maintenance works.
On the Main Line, Up and Down fast services between Thane and Kalyan will be affected from 10.40 hrs to 15.40 hrs. Fast and semi-fast locals departing from CSMT and Kalyan during this period will be diverted to the slow line between Thane and Kalyan, with additional halts at Kalva, Mumbra, and Diva. These trains will reach their destinations around 10 minutes late. Certain mail and express trains will also be diverted via the 5th and 6th lines.
On the Harbour Line, services between Panvel and Vashi (excluding the Port line) will remain suspended from 11.05 hrs to 16.05 hrs. This includes Harbour line services between CSMT and Panvel/Belapur and Trans-Harbour services between Thane and Panvel.
Special local trains will run between CSMT and Vashi during the block, and Trans-Harbour services will continue between Thane and Vashi/Nerul. Port line services will operate as usual.
Railway officials said these mega blocks are necessary for infrastructure upkeep and safety, and requested passengers to cooperate with the administration.
