A woman has died and a nine-year-old boy is in hospital after a three-car collision inVictoria.
Police say the woman was in a white Nissan Pulsar on Phillip Island Road, driving towards Cowes when she lost control about 11.30am.
She clipped a car towing a caravan and then collided head-on with a Jeep.
The 63-year-old from Wonthaggi, south of Melbourne, died at the scene.
The nine-year-old boy in the car was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A man and woman in the car towing the caravan, were not injured.
The man driving the Jeep was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances around the collision and investigations are ongoing.
