PATNA: Five men who ran a fake financial company that charged people fees to get them loans on easy terms but never delivered have been arrested in Patna, a police officer said.
Police said 10 mobile phones, and a laptop have been seized from the suspects who operated from a two-room flat in Patna’s Khemnichak area.
“They were involved in allegedly cheating people in the name of providing easy loans… They used to take their fees in the name of loan processing, insurance, and GST,” Dhillon said
Dhillon said Gautam Kumar and Bharat Kumar were the first ones to be arrested on Sunday night when they tried to escape after seeing some police officers. Their interrogation led the police to three more suspects and the company’s office running out of a rented flat.
